Description

O-Xylene (ortho-xylene)

O-Xylene (ortho-xylene) isomers are from xylenes and are produced during the distillation process. Xylene has a benzene ring and two methyl groups. In which two methyl groups place side by side on the benzene ring (atoms 1 and 2). The chemical formula is ortho-xylene C8H10. Orto Xylene also has known as o-xylene.

uses:

The usage of O-Xylene (ortho-xylene) is to make plasticizers, drugs, pesticides, paints, and phthalic anhydride. Also, in the formulation of high quality industrial coatings such as automotive, marine, baking enamels, furniture lacquer and other protective coatings. In addition in printing inks, dyes and the manufacture of Vitamin B2.
