High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS)
This type of polystyrene, called High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), is a co polymer of PS, which is modified with elastomeric molecules like butadiene. It is used in the manufacture of dishes and home appliances.
The low-repulsiveness of the regular grade made the modified polystyrene, or hardener, to grow vigorously and to be in the category of high-performance plastics. Outstanding features of this grid are mechanical properties, especially good sufficiency and affordable pricing that makes it suitable for the manufacture of various types of equipment. Polystyrene modification improves toughness, toughness and to increase tensile strength. This eliminates the transparency of polystyrene.
Uses of ordinary grades
Rubber-modified polystyrene plastics are usually used in the manufacture of TVs, home appliances, refrigerated interior parts such as trays, floors, inner covers, storage containers, and more. It is also used to produce sporting goods and toys.
