GENERAL PURPOSE POLYSTYRENE (GPPS)

   GENERAL PURPOSE POLYSTYRENE (GPPS), commonly used for general use, have properties such as good heat resistance, good adhesion, and fluidity during the process.
These polystyrenes have high dielectric properties, especially in electrical applications. The brand name of this product in the Iranian market is Crystal.
polystyrene is produced in 3 grade, impact resistant HIPS, ordinary GPPS, and expanded EPS. Ordinary polystyrene or GPPS is a thermoplastic polymer. Hence, a large marketing market for polystyrene was started for everyday use.
Today, polystyrene is one of the most famous plastics that is needed and consumed in most industries. Among the things that make the application of this polymer expanded, its transparency, ductility and low price are one of the few. Which itself has created a special place among all kinds of polymers.

Uses of ordinary grades

Throw-away utensils, electrical appliances, clocks and TVs and radios, sporting goods, toys, refrigeration cabinets, refrigerators, and home appliances
This polymer has been welcomed due to its properties: transparency, resistance to moisture absorption, odor and taste, electrical insulation, reasonable prices, and good sealing properties. For this reason, this polymer is used in the manufacture of appliances such as health, sports, automotive, home appliances, electrical, computer, fan, shaver and so on.
