Of the 6 possible isomers, only 2.4 isoenzymes and 2.6 are commercially valuable. Also, toluene diisocyanate combines 80/20 isomers of 4.2 and 6.2 with a minimum purity of 99.5%.

TDI covers vast applications from the furniture and carpet industry to packaging and shipping. The other usage of this product is also in the production of insulators, adhesives. As well as, elastomers and in the production of flexible polyurethane foams.
