Geschmiedete Kohlefaser ist Kohlefaser, die zu Kohlefasergewebe umgeformt wurde. Durch Änderung der geordneten Mischung der Kohlenstofffasern während des Formprozesses. Dieses zufällig gemischte Kohlefaser-Verbundmaterial wird als „geschmiedete Kohlefaser“ bezeichnet.
Geschmiedete Kohlefaser ist nicht nur eine unregelmäßige „chaotische Schönheit“. Geschmiedetes Kohlefasermaterial weist zudem eine gewisse Gesamtfestigkeit auf.
