Description

HIGHWAY Geogrid

Geogrid (HIGHWAY Geogrid) is a member of the geosynthetic series, usually made of polyester, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene and polypropylene materials. Geogrids exist in two types of cloth and plastic (granular). The main application of geogrid is soil stabilization, but today there is a new application for geogrids, which is a reinforcement of asphalt pavement. The base on Geogrid is polyester and polyethylene and its usage due to its elastic ability is to arrange soil in different areas. Geo-grays are available in two types of single-stranded and double-sided, but their appearance changes from their application.

Different types of Geogrid

Polyethylene geogrids to protect the pipe
Asphalt geogrid
Polystyrene Geogrid
Polyethylene geogrid

Uses:

As a reinforcing interlayer to increase rated performance of asphalt-concrete layers in road dressing, for the purpose of decelerating generation, evolution and extension of cracks. Moreover, the grids obstruct evolution of rutting and generation of bloats and shifts on pavement, extend service life and performance figures of pavement.

Advantages:

the geogrids are impregnated with complex bituminous-polymer compounds to improve adhesive behavior. Also, the grids are using European equipment.
